Aviation Medical Class 1 - How it looks?

Assalamualaikum, maybe some of you guys wondering how did the aviation medical went through, how it looks like? is it promising? or is it just wasting money and then you fail to get class 1?

At first i felt like, "please let me pass this God, after while you help me all this time and now you're going to fail my aviation medical??" No not really like that, that's too hyperbolic. haha but actually aviation medical class 1 is the first thing you have to do before becoming an airline pilot. How did i know this?  because pilots said so.

Let us go through what I've been through,

1. Eye Test
The most complicated test throughout this checkup! Since i never check my eye power and astigmatism, they urge me to go to THONEH(Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital), and i was like wtf? Remember one of my indian friends name Thanesh. haha, It was located in the middle of the city btw! Big thanx to the people who invented the GPS. It helps alot!

The first stage of eye test is the Vision Test, where there are big alphabets to small alphabets and that time i cannot read the smallest alphabets. The second stage is where they check your true power and astigmatism/glare something like that, you will be given a spectacle. After that, they will put some yellow solution into your eyes, for i don't know what reasons. haha there will be also Ishihara's Eye test. Don't be fooled, there will be some plates with NO numbers at all. Be careful!

2. X-Ray
Simple checkup on your upper body. If your rib cage or bones got fractured, say bye bye to class 1.

3. Urine Test
If you take drugs, then you're fucked up. Did you remember the movie Flight? Where the captain take drugs and he was very alcoholic, he fly a commercial airplane upside down! By the way, it was just a m
ovie, and real pilots laugh at it.

4. Ear Test
You'll be sitting in a small box and your ear will be tested to the limits. Remember don't press the button if you didn't hear the beep!

5. Heart Pressure Test
Its all up to your body!

6. Blood Test
The doctor suck my blood for one full syringe and that time i feel like zombie, my hands hardly move and it was kinda dizzy. Anyway i passed! I don't know what the doctor did to my blood.

7. Electrocardiogram (ECG)
ECG is a test that checks for problems with the electrical activity of your heart. For example, to find the cause of unexplained chest pain, which could be caused by a heart attack, inflammation of the sac surrounding the heart (pericarditis), or angina. One of my friends said that visceral fat can make ECG test to fail, thus no class 1 certificate will be given. So, get fit and workout!

So, you should get the certificate something like this. My glare is way on top of the mountains!

500 mcmtu. Pakai spec/contact lens pun boleh xdehal nk jd pilot.

Kalau power below 600 masih boleh ?

Good sharing, today, Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital (THONEH) has the equipment to perform the non-invasive procedure to treat the condition. “The Ultra Q multi-modality YAG Laser we acquired offers greater accuracy and control than traditional YAG Lasers, allowing us to perform better treatment, read more at:
